Sales to Europe will be zero rated for UK VAT for total sales exceeding 150 euros and the sales price will be adjusted by removing UK VAT before payment is made. The product(s) may incur VAT, duty and an admin charge upon import into Europe, this will vary from country to country. The shipment will include customs information such as the product(s) country of manufacturing origin and the customs tariff code. This should enable any VAT, duty and admin charge to be calculated upon import and hopefully minimise any delays. However the import process may cause delays in the receipt of your order. We use the Royal Mail international tracked and signed service to ship the order (up to 2kg), tracked only over 2kg.
Sales to Europe below 150 euros (total sales value) should be charged VAT at the rate prevailing in the customers country. To be able to process the VAT payment, we need to register for IOSS but unless the UK gets a dispensation from having to have an intermediary in the country of registration for IOSS, it is prohibitively expensive to do so. This is only because since Brexit, the UK is no longer part of Europe, making it necessary to register for IOSS in another country. As advised by a telephone call to the Irish VAT office, we can process an order of under 150 euros in the same way as for over 150 euros and not charge any VAT but it is likely that VAT, duty and a admin charge may be charged by the country that the customers reside in.
